WQIS Appoints Justin. A Mongello as President and CEO

New York, New York (August 8, 2018) – The Water Quality Insurance Syndicate (WQIS), a specialist insurer that provides comprehensive coverage in the vessel pollution insurance market, is pleased to announce the appointment of Justin A. Mongello as CEO and President.

Since November 2015, when Mongello first joined WQIS as the Chief Operating Officer, he has been responsible for managing several of the Syndicate’s key business functions while simultaneously serving as a valued member of the underwriting team in both production and referral capacities.

Mongello holds a Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation from the State University of New York (SUNY) Maritime College. With over twenty years as a proven leader in underwriting with firms such as Zurich North America, Swiss Reinsurance Corporation, and Liberty National Underwriters, Mongello brings a high level of marine knowledge and insurance experience along with a robust, client-centric focus and a great deal of enthusiasm for the work that he does.
